i have a surprise for you. can’t tell you now, you’ll see.
anyways, i’m very eager to find out what color this surprise really is. i hope it’s not the color in the product images that they show online. i’d kill myself! ..or i just have to cover it with stickers. anyways, i hate it that they don’t give you detail information for colors, that’s very annoying!! all i need is a hex value or a pantone number, not just “red”. there are a gazillion reds out there, which one??

oh
2.5 miles at 5. don’t ever take your days off lightly that’s the key to a successful training program. also make sure you can see the tv in the gym.
purple sun
NASA’s STEREO-B took a picture of the moon passing in front of the purple sun. isn’t it pretty??

skirt!
so hot today i had to dig out my skirt and flip flops. it’s like the moment we put our clocks forward an hour we put ourselves forward a season and into summer instantly. my toenail is doing pretty good thanks for asking! and my thoughts on not going to the gym today ..well i figured even though i didn’t have a satisfying work out yesterday, but i did stick to my plan of going every other day, so today is my day off. i can’t cheat myself out of day offs then i would resent and get angry with myself and the result would be not going to the gym at all. now we wouldn’t want that to happen, would we??! ..thought so!
anyways, an article in new york magazine talks about internet and the young users who live their lives publicly on it. this article says that the massive usage of internet among the young people is creating the biggest age gap since early age of rock ‘n roll. pretty interesting.

just couldn’t run today
for some strange reason. only did 3/4 miles before i had to stop. i think it’s the heat. today was a hot day, and it was even hotter inside of the 24 hour fitness on wilshire. last time i came here was the same thing, i had this strange feeling after only 1/2 mile.

overworked myself
went to the gym after work today. last time i ran was monday i did 2.25 miles continuously which is the last day of week #6 on this running schedule i have been following. according to the schedule i should start week #7 today and run 2.5 miles non-stop. but because i skipped the last 3 days plus i didn’t eat much before i went workout, i found it really hard to even finish 2.25 miles. and afterward i felt this sickness in my stomach and i knew i overworked myself. from now on i’m gonna run every other day cuz it’s just hard to get back on track after even a small break so i’m gonna take this seriously and get to the 3 mile mark in 3 weeks.
about the schedule: i found this online few weeks ago, it’s the first link listed in google if you search for “running schedule”. at that time i was already running 2 miles with a 3 min walk in between so i figured i’d just start from week #5. it actually works. first i thought from the first two runs of week #5 and the last run (2 miles non-stop) was a big jump cuz though i ran in total 2 miles but i didn’t think i could do without a small walking break, but i tried and i did it. that was a big breakthrough for me, probably more so mentally than physically but it felt really good.
so right now i’m doing 2.25 miles at 5mph for non-stop runs, if i take one walking break then i do a burst of 1/4 mile up to 7mph at the beginning of each mile and the rest at 5 or 5.3. my goal is to hit the 3 mile mark in 3 weeks/1 month, then gradually bring my speed up to 6mph, then maybe increase the distance to 5 miles each run, 7 tops, and run every other day.

what i’ve done in the last 24 hours..
just finished a bowl of oatmeal. before that i was sleeping, from 730 until 430? yeah pretty much. before that i was at work from 1230 yesterday til 630 this morning, 18 hours straight. some of my co-workers were there too, trying to get some stuff done before a very important presentation this morning, at 10 in new york (7 LA time) which already took place and heard that it went very well.
the whole time i was working on a new design for our player so that it’s uniquely us instead of just a generic player. though i think being generic is important due to the very nature of our service but a branded one makes sense too. so over the 18 hours i played around with my design like a thousand times, going back and forth trying different things, couldn’t make up my mind. normally i don’t have this kind of problem i stick with one design and make decisions along the way and that’s the one you get and you better like it. but once in a while i’ll run into a project where i don’t have a clear vision of what it’s going to be like so i become indecisive. and this is one of those cases. so after hours and hours of agonizing over this, i finally came up with something which i wasn’t completely satisfied but good enough to show and within what time permits. at that point, other co-workers were still working on some functionality that’s more important than the new design and couldn’t get to it before 7. so in another word, i could of gone home had dinner and slept in my own bed, but the design was supposed to be done and i’m glad i finished it, did my part.

more time please!
i wish there are drive-thrus where you can go and “super size” your regular day and make it a 26 hour jumbo day. too often i stop at night and realize it’s already the 26th hour of the day and the reading is too exciting i can’t stop just yet and that i am cutting into my precious sleep time. but i have no choice, there are just too many things to do and too little time! if not being able to go to bed early easily is a sign of not satisfied with your life, then i guess i am not satisfied. i wish i could read more, play more, think more, eat more, do more each day, and still be able to sleep more. more more more more more!
am i too greedy?
