bought by starbucks back in sept 2006. yesterday was the last day their santa monica location (on lincoln and montana) was open. made the routine run for my last cup of diedrich’s coffee and a poppyseed danish. diedrich has been serving me good coffee since my college years. esppcially the store in brea, witnessed a very emotional time in my life and the tremendous amount of growth that followed. since i started working a few blocks away from their santa monica location, diedrich turned me, the occasional drinker into a believer. now as i throw away the empty cup from my desk, diedrich becomes history.
